The 3 Cs of Social Marketing: Conversation, Contribution, and Consistency

Engage Your Audience In A Conversation

Web 2.0 is all about having interaction between you and your readers. They don’t want to simply listen to what you have to say; they want to add their voice to the mix as well.

Social marketing tools like blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc., are all set up with conversation built in. With a blog, you have comments to drive the conversation forward. When a new reader sees your blog includes varying points of Buy Minocycline Online without prescription view, they will be more likely to stick around and join the fun.

So ask your readers to comment. Don’t just say, “what do you think?”  Ask them specific questions, stories, or examples that support or (gasp!) contradict the point of your post. The more interaction, the more loyal your readership will become.

Of course this also means you’ll need to have differing opinions. You can always delete comments that are way off base. But having opposite views strengthens your blog, and certainly makes things more interesting.

Contribute Value To Your Followers

People are busy, and you have to win them over to “pay” attention to you. So make sure you are giving them something of value. Ibc Bank Corporate Does your writing help them get through their day? Solve a problem? Connect them with a resource?

Can they take what you give them and feel they are better off having spent the time reading your posts? Or will they feel like they wasted their time?

Stay On Track With Your Message

In fact, they’ll appreciate you spreading it all out instead of overwhelming them and then dropping off the grid.

The other consistency issue is sticking to a theme.

You really need to understand the goal of your blog so you know what topics you want to tackle. There’s nothing wrong with your blog evolving - it will whether you plan on it or not.

But if you want your readership to stay with you and grow, be somewhat predictable about what they will be expecting from you.

Even if you have a “random” blog, there’s still likely to be an overarching theme to what you are talking about.

Use These Guidelines Throughout Your Social Marketing

These three C’s of social marketing are not just for blogs. The same philosophy should be used on social networks, too. Sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc., all have the same need for conversation, ampicillin online contribution and consistency.
